Saibu No Akuma has come a long way from producing custom made shirts to now producing all round made-to-measure menswear. Experience to us has always been a key driver for our business, providing something that is unique, special and different from every other menswear brand out there is something we strive for. We still strongly believe in providing a service and product that represents us, that provides a story, a journey and most importantly empowers our community to pursue their vision.
Unfortunately, as a growing business, we have had many changes, endured through many ups and downs, and have lost touch with our community. These obstacles that we’ve faced, we can’t view them as negatives but learning to accept them and not let these obstacles define us. We have always believed in positive change and occasionally we have to learn the hard way and turn these negatives into a positive. We need to view these situations as more of a learning curve and a blessing in disguise.
The release of our lifestyle long sleeve and short sleeve tees have been well received and our Japanese selvedge denim has done great too. The lifestyle element and experimentation has elevated us to strive to evolve as a brand that not only does “suiting” but to help us really showcase the versatility of our tailored garments and style.
We can’t thank our community enough for their continuous support the past 5 years and it was time for us to really listen. We have learnt, interacted and received numerous amounts of constructive feedback the past 12 months.
It certainly came to our attention that it is essential to bring back the community factor as the main focus point and to remember that we are here to redefine the mindset of menswear to empower the ambitious individuals.
As a team, our purpose is to create a brand that can help our community to express themselves, to give our community a brand that they can represent, a brand that they can be proud of, a reminder to think outside the box and to remind themselves to follow their dreams. To make this happen, we were mandatory to think of different ways to cater back to our community.
We have negotiated hours on end with different mills, fabric suppliers and manufacturers on our last buying trip and we have finally come to a middle ground. We’ve curated new trans-seasonal fabrics that are comfortable, versatile, durable, withstand the unpredictable Melbourne climate and manufactured like any of our made-to-measure garments but at a new competitive price point.
The new fabrics that we have prepared will allow our community an opportunity to enjoy our made-to-measure & styling experience. We’ve always wanted to give this opportunity to our community without being conformed in a typical stereotype to receive this experience.
What we have have been working on, is learning more about our customer, adapting, and catering for all types of ambitious individuals who want the same styling and experience but at a modest price.
As a brand we will keep fighting for what we believe in and ensure we don’t stop chasing our full potential. We will identify our challenges, evolve and grow as a team. We will not lose sight of becoming the catalyst to spark positive change in our community and to remember to keep inspiring and influencing our generation.
